Standing on the Great Wall of China was a very moving experience. It felt like I was a part of history and something so much bigger than myself. It was strange to come down though to a KFC at one of exit points in Beijing! I did however buy a “I climbed the Great Wall” t-shirt for a $1 that I still wear and feel good about 6 years later.
