Now that I’m living in an area where I can dive whenever I want to, I’m not going to wait 14 years to progress to the next level. I’d love to make a living diving someday, so I’m going to keep progressing as aggressively as I can. My goal right now is to get as many dives as I can under my belt, and complete Rescue Diver by May 2008.

Typical for me....
Hi Jade,
I don’t know why, but I haven’t done this yet. I have plenty of time, but have spent more time focusing on golf than I have on diving. It’s hard to complain though, because diving and golf are the two things that I’ve wanted to dedicate more time to for years, and my golf game is the best its ever been. I’ll get to the rescue diver cert eventually.
When I got my advanced/NITROX certs, I went through Scuba School – http://www.scuba-school.com/ – it’s close to you, at the corner of Oakland Park and A1A. The only drawback that I found was that you pay for ABSOLUTELY everything – no discounts if you need to buy any gear. But my advanced instructor, Ken, was great, but I don’t think he teaches RD. As for a good dive boat, the Scubatyme III out of Pompano (http://www.dive-dive-dive.com/V2/location.asp) is a really good choice.
If you’re ever looking for a dive buddy, drop me a line! One of the reasons that I don’t dive as much as I would like is because I don’t have any dive buddies.
Good luck, and Cheers to getting your Rescue cert!!
Chris
