Wish Fateaccompli a stress free birthday on February 20th!

Worth doing!

Happy birthday fateaccompli!  — 6 months ago

I won’t say the actual number but instead will say thirty-one plus one or thirty-three minus one… but I definitely won’t say the dreaded two to the fifth power!

I hope the coming year will bring you lots of new, fulfilling reading experiences that you can share in your professional style written reviews. Over the past few years, I had become like a drone reading nothing but technical journals for work and in my free time political news online. I credit your passion for and philosophical questioning of the works you read for helping to inspire me to broaden my focus and read good literature again. Now, one of the things I consider when choosing a new book to read is what fateaccompli has read and recommended recently! I never on my own would have ever thought to read C.J. Cherryh or Chinua Achebe.

May you continue to have whimsical dreams that can perhaps inspire topics for your next Nanowrimo novel, which, you never know, could be in Russian if you continue to progress in your goal to learn that language. I wish you well in your efforts toward earning your college degree, although to be frank, you already are more literate and intellectual than even most college grads I know.

Above all, if at all possible, have a stress free day! You need at least one of those on occasion, so why not your birthday…

fateaccompli wonders what it means to dream about smurfs and pumpkins

wow

you know I am still trying to think of something adequate to say to this? my best efforts remain in the realm of “who needs self-affirmations when you’re friends with Dan?” or “friends like you are the best gift of all”... also known as the realm of the lame and trite. it happens to be perfectly true, mind you, but it surely does not express anything like the wonderment and warmth which I feel, and, especially compared to your seamlessly thoughtful message, falls far short of the mark.

I hope someone comes along today, someone with the right words, the words I can’t find, and tells you what an amazing person you are, what a joy you are to your friends, and how people who get to know you are the luckiest people of all. :)
