I would love to have my own darkroom set up and running! I’ve got every single piece of equipment that you could possibly need. I’ve just got nowhere to set it up :-(

It was all kindly donated to me by a lovely lady living on a farm back in Wales. She said that it was more convenient for her to be completely digital, but I feel a little guilty for taking it off her and not being able to use it. I offered her money for it but she gave it to me for free!

All she wanted was a photograph from me in the future. I’ll add another goal…

Last year I bought a DSLR – a Canon 30D. I absolutely love it :-) mainly for the convenience, but my baby will always be my Olympus OM2. It’s sooo old! It used to be my dads. I know he had it in the 80’s, but I think it’s a little older than that.

I managed to get this 100 year old camera in a car boot sale too – for £1! It’s got a stamp on it 1902. I’m afraid to touch it in case it falls apart! One day I’ll pluck up the courage to take it in the dark to put some sort of film in it.

I’ve never made a pinhole camera, it’s been something I’ve been meaning to do for ages. What are your photos like?

Do you know APUG?

I’m not a member, but my husband is.

It’s for film fanatics, but they all have to do a little digital, to share their photos.

There’s a few people who do pinhole.

There’s pros, retired pros, serious hobbyists, etc. all in one place.

That’s Analog Photography User’s Group. My husband has no quibbles with digital, but he does imaging in his day job and doesn’t want to stare at a computer for his hobby too!

Good luck with the dark room. There’s possibly people at apug who could help you figure out how to set up a rig wherever you are too.
