Get a terminal degree (read all 5 entries…)
Too Old? 22 months ago

My sister is scoffing at me for planning to do this. A waste of money, she says. I’m too old to make it (the investment) pay off, she says (I’ll be 57 this year).

I am feeling discouraged. Is she right? Is this a foolish idea?

Go for it!

It’s not a waste of time, if that’s what you want to do.

MeeBEEM sucks again. oh no.

lol

I read this three times as a “terminal disease”... funny things is that I AM working on a terminal degree….

I started when early 30s
now late 30s

I feel like it took a lot of fun out of my 30s. I plan tp finish, but it is the most stressful and difficult thing I have done.

I’d be sure to examine WHY you want it.

fidgiegirl cupboards are brimming with goodies!

Depends on why

If it’s for economic reasons, maybe she’s right. But if it’s something you’ve always longed to do, you can live on the salary (or lack therof), you are passionate about the subject, etc., then economy is somewhat beside the point. It all depends on your reasons why. Good luck deciding!
