I probably need to cut back on sugar and carbohydrates.
You both of them to be healthy. You just must eat good sugar, like in fruits. A piece of chocolate won’(t make you fat or unhealthy though. You do need C.H as well. For instance you can eat green beans, with a low fat fish, and a very little olive oil. And then a fruit, 20% yoghurt. And running. Or a sport whatever.
