I lurked on craigslist for the last month looking for the right one, and observations there helped to crystalize the specs for my new bike in my head (while demonstrating that the bike I think I need to accomplish any kind of significant cross commuting does not so often float onto craigslist). So today headed over on the bus to the local bike shop and bought the thing. As a bonus, they had it in a sweet sagey green color. And Chris installed the lights which involved a certain inventory of hardware which I sure don’t have access to at home. hooray. now have to keep it secure.
