Feeling Hopeful is experiencing end of semester exhaustion.

read 50 books in 2008 (read all 20 entries…)

I've gotten behind with posting on this.  — 4 months ago

I haven’t been here as much because I’ve been so busy, but I’ve been reading for about an hour every evening and sometimes on my lunch break.

I’ve read 3 more books.

6. Summer People by Brian Groh
7. The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo
8. Little Children by Tom Perrota

Comments:

How did you like Little Children? I’ve been intending to read it for a while but once I get to the library my goes blank.

I liked it

I read it fairly quickly. It was funny and a light read, exactly what I was needing after reading lots of research articles for grad school.

It’s one of those books where the characters don’t always do what you expect.

Tale of Despereaux

What did you think about this book?

I really enjoyed reading this and I thought there were a number of life lessons in this book. It still helps me remember that love can make us do things that cause us trouble, as well as be the reason we get through some troubling times.

Tale of Despereaux

I liked how even though this book was written for younger people, anyone could enjoy its stories of love, hope, and courage.

Feeling Hopeful has gotten 1 cheer on this entry.
