If you want to learn how to do this, just get on a level residential street (i.e. – not on a slope) and put it in first gear then let the clutch out slowly without touching the gas at all. Eventually the vehicle will start rolling steadily, then you can work with other gears. But try this for a while and you’ll get a feel for the vehicle and where the clutch’s friction point is (where it “grabs” and the vehicle starts going) and that’s the key to drving stick.
Use the clutch only

I wholeheartedly agree. When I was teaching my friend how to drive my car, he kept on stalling out. So I asked him if he’d like to observe. Then, I showed him this nifty little trick, and when I let him back in the driver’s seat, he stalled out no more!
