If you think about it, every pro skater has their own “image”. Granted, they all have one thing in common: they kill it at skating. But I think that you have to have your own unique style that you can market to the youth in order to suceed as a pro skater these days. Compare Jaime Thomas and Adrian Lopez….both awesome skaters…but way different styles. Kids need new, unique role models to look up to…which is pretty sad because becoming a pro skater isn’t based solely on skating skill anymore..ya gotta have something to back it. Good Luck in your endeavors- be unique- skate lots- and of course, compete (even at a local level… you gotta start somewhere) so everyone can see you throw down!
