I always want to remember people’s names, but I noticed that I just don’t pay attention when they’re introducing themselves. Now I try to make it a point to repeat their name out loud when I first hear it, and repeat it in my head a few times. If there are several people that I’m meeting at once, I start running through the list, looking from person to person as their name goes through my head. It helps, but the first step for me was making a conscious effort to care to remember.
