Keep a journal (read all 2 entries…)
okay I've bought the journal

I looked around Melbourne for a good journal and couldn’t find one, so then I went on the internet to look for one in Australia and couldn’t find one. In the end I thought what the hell and paid heaps of money for a really cool journal from www.renaissance-art.com. At the moment the journal is being shipped from the US so hopefully it will be here in a couple of weeks. I hope I don’t have anything brilliant I really, really need to journal before then! (not very likely as I haven’t journalled anything for 29 years!)

Hi!!

Next time, try Barnes and Noble for it or EBAY; you can get loads of it there; Or if you want, I can get you some for a $1 at the Dollar store and send it; Don’t mind helping you on your journey

So?

It’s been over 2 years ago. How is it going?
Did you fill it up or barely written a word?
:)

update

yeah, I’ve had the journal for 2 years and I’ve done about 50 entries or so. I certainly don’t write in it every day but I write in it when something big is happening or I just really need to get something on paper. Reading back over the entries is like looking over the script of a soap opera as there is mostly only dramas in there, but the theory is if I write it down it will clear it from my head and I’ll stop worrying about it.

Do you have a journal?

Yup

have one, but use it similarly. There are times when I make an effort to write even if there’s no new drama to report but these moments come and go. I always saw it as something I could leave to my children, grandchildren etc…. as a legacy to read and find out who is was and how I stepped through my challenges, more than something I do for myself.

wow

I understand what you are saying but I wouldn’t want anyone to read my journal, for me its more a record of inner thoughts and stuff that is really the working out to get to a final product rather than the final product itself. Also to air thoughts and test them to see if they are valid or just rubbish (mostly rubbish I’ve found!). I think someone reading it would think that what I write is my final opinion on things and events when really they are the inital emotional outburst or first impression instead.

I'm counting on it...

that by the time someone even touches that diary I’ll already be too old, too gray and filled with too much wisdom to even care. :)

bc6840836 has gotten 2 cheers on this entry.
