Met a very cool 2 1/2 year old recently with a very cool personality. The fact that she’s potty trained already probably helped win me over, too.
Recently read ‘The Tipping Point’ by Malcolm Gladwell, in which he discusses the strange results of a 1970s study that indicated that adopted children are no more similar “in intellectual ability and certain aspects of personality” to their adoptive parents, who’d raised them for 16 years by the time of this testing, than to any two strangers chosen at random. Thought this idea was strange and slightly chilling.
I guess the idea’s growing on me but I’m still scared of turning into my mother and raising an ungrateful kid like me (or my sister).
