Pass the CPA exam (read all 4 entries…)

For Everyone!  — 1 month ago

Out of curiosity, here are two questions for you:

1. what scores have you received on which parts?

2. Of the parts you passed, in what order from hardest to easiest, would you put them in?

Ill start:
1.
AUD-96
REG-84
BEC-79
FAR-Not yet taken.

2. AUD, BEC and REG I would say in order from hardest to easiest.

BEC-66
REG-79
AUD-84
FAR-NA

Order of difficulty – BEC, REG, AUD…so far…

BEC-78
REG-77
FAR-75
AUD-78(expired)

Order of Difficulty- I had to struggle to pass each of them .

BEC – 77
REG – 65 (retake in April)
AUD – scheduled for May
FAR – planning for July

Although I’ve only taken 2, I found BEC to be more difficult than REG. I failed REG because of the SIMs and poor time management. BEC was tough because the material varied greatly and you basically have to be expert in many different areas all at once.

You passed all exam, then why did u put audit expired.

because audit expired before I passed the other exams and now after giving audit test twice ,I still have to pass it again because I failed…otherwise BEC will expire…

Aud 84
Bec 80
Reg 79
Fare 80

I took them in that order.

I would have to say that they were all difficult, but the ones I was most worried about passing were Fare cause there is just too much stuff to cover and Reg cause I’m Canadian and US tax is really different.

what materials did you use? and how long did it take you to complete all 4 parts?

I used becker. And I finished all parts in 8 months. Due to circumstances of me being let go from my work, I decided to focus entirely on the exam. I don’t recommend that approach for everyone, I didn’t have so many expenses so I could survive.

thanks

Congratulations. I’m in a similar situation as my office is closing in June and I will be able to study full time thru the summer. I plan to focus only on the exam and delay working until I’m done studying.
Congrats again!!

well, I can tell you that I actually had a pretty relaxed study schedule. I studied 5 hours a day but once in a while I took time off to go out to stay sane. I did homework on weekends. Audit took me 4 weeks, BEC took me 3, Reg took me 5 weeks and Fare took me 6 weeks. I could have done Fare in 4 weeks but I kept telling myself that I wasn’t ready. Now looking back, I think I was ready, I just needed the confidence to tell myself that I was ready.

Good luck to you. I hope it works out for you as well.

Hey csaicheng,

How did you feel Far was compared to the other parts?
I have FAR left and I know its a lot of info, but I was curious if it was worse or easier than you thought.

-Artie

I honestly think in terms of difficulty, they were all the same. But FAR was the worst cause I never felt I was ready and I kept forgetting stuff I learned earlier. But I think the secret is that you are not supposed to know everything. Do your best to know everything, and then play the odds. Hope that whatever you are weak in isn’t that large a portion.

Good luck

FAR 80AUD 80BEC – April ‘08 – got a 73 last time
REB – July ‘08

I hope you all are right in BEC being harder then REG. I don’t know why but I’m scared of REG. Since I’ve taken BEC it’s a bit easier to study this time although it’s hard for me. Just so random.

Order of idfficulty
REG – 83
FARE – 78
AUD – 82
BEC – 83
