I mean, what the heck. I have about 561 hobbies, why not add another?

I made my own drop spindle and bought a lighter one as well. I’ve got some merino roving and a batt of alpaca. I find the merino a lot easier to spin; the alpaca is really slick and not quite as “grabby” (though it makes a gorgeous thin yarn)

I’m getting a little better; I have a miniature skein under my belt (yardage unknown) that I just dyed today with kool-aid (super oh-my-gosh-I’m-going-blind bright orange for the win) in a striped pattern.

SO much fun so far!
