drink alcohol in moderation (read all 10 entries…)

I didn’t drink for the whole month of March. I’m shocked and proud! I don’t miss it anymore. When my man and I go out to eat where they serve alcohol, I briefly think “Do I want a drink? No, it doesn’t even sound good.” We went to Red Robin last weekend and I was looking at the margaritas on the menu and then I thought about my acid reflux and it wouldn’t have been worth the discomfort…or the extra calories.

Proud indeed!

Cheerless cheers for you Plum, for taking such good care of yourself!

snarfie is tired.... very, very tired

sobriety rocks!

well done!!

I don't drink

anymore because of the medication I’m on and the big thing I’ve noticed is that I get up early in the mornings. The other thing I realise is that I don’t miss alcohol per se, if I miss anything it’s the social side of alcohol. And there are other ways to socialise with friends. One work colleague asked if I was pregnant which I thought was weird – like it could be the only possible explanation for not drinking!

PM,

I keep meaning to ask you whether you’ve tried the nasal sprays for your migraines?
I get them bad too – for many different reasons. Worst ones come on day 3 of my period. I’ve also tried everything. I’ve recently discovered one kind of pain relief tablet which usually helps. Gosh can’t remember the brand off hand but it has a calmative effect. I was also recently prescribed a nasal spray but only used it once so far but it seemed to help straight away. $15 a pop though.

I've noticed

that my stomach isn’t as bloated all the time, which is nice. I got the pregnant question from a few coworkers too. They don’t understand until I explain I stopped for health reasons.

Medical reasons

is a good way of putting it. Sometimes people think it’s something religious, as well as pregnancy.
