Quit Smoking (read all 33 entries…)
I DID IT... I REALLY DID IT!!!

I REACHED MY GOAL

I haven’t smoked a single cigarette in 365 days. I did it! A whole year without even so much as a drag off a cigarette. I feel very proud of myself because it wasn’t easy. It takes a lot of determination to quit smoking, and I did it… I did it, Hooray for me! :D :D :D

Awesome!

Well done. I’m on day 7 (this time round). I was out drinking with a friend last night who quit 6 years ago. He said the first few weeks were the EASIEST! (because after that, you get complacent). Any thoughts?

The timing is different for everyone...

For me, the more time that passed the easier it got. The first two weeks for me were by far the hardest. I had severe withdrawal symptoms ie., sleepless nights, nightmares, mood swings, couldn’t focus well or think straight. It was really tough, but I knew it would get easier and it did… thank god!
A co-worker of mine who’s smoked for over 30 years quit smoking, first attempt ever, and she said she couldn’t believe how easy it was… two weeks later she started smoking again.

I think at some point it’s difficult for everyone.?.

Thx

... for the reply. It’s something I’ve definitely got to be aware of – I quit for six months a few years ago – one day I was bored and fell into the trap thinking that I could just have a couple a day. I was back to a pack a day within the week …
