Go for a medical checkup (read all 3 entries…)
Eh, 8 months ago

any idea how long this will take? I scheduled something a (long) while back, and made the mistake of telling them there’s no rush (and didn’t want to back off from my statement, apparently!). So they gave me an appointment two months away, which is coming in a couple of weeks. But now something else has come up on that exact day around noon (how arbitrary is that!). I don’t know if a 3-hour span is enough for them to do whatever it is they want to do! Or maybe I should reschedule?

I think

it depends on how many tests they end up doing. Sometimes, for a full physical, they want to do blood work, etc., either to address specific health concerns or even just to gather baseline data. You might be able to do the tests another time, but then that means going back another day.

Thanks bibliomane.

I guess I’ll just go there and stay as long as I can, then.

for you Faustus

I think 3 hours is more than enough time for a check up.

I hope so :)

Unless they get carried away (happened to me once; I went in because of a viral infection and ended up with a bunch of tests from blood test to x-ray; and of course, for each step there is a sign-up sheet and a waiting room with southern cooking and golf magazines! :)). See? Getting carried away is not too tough a job! ;)
