ok well today I ate things that are my down fall…donuts..see I work in the office of a bakery whole sale and it’s great but all the bakery’s we supply products to send back treats to us and today was donuts. I can pass up lots of different things but donuts are my biggest down fall. I really have to do this cause no one else cares or feels bad but me when I’m not having a good day. Well tomorrow is another day and back on the wagon for me.

It takes several days of eating donuts to set you back.

I agree with “feinstein”. If you give in a few days a week, that’s one thing. But one doughnut once in a while is no big deal, especially if you like them. Have you considered splitting one with someone else in the office? For me it’s chocolate, and I find that a lot of times (though not ALL the time), a smaller amount is still satisfying.

Don’t beat yourself up, just think about if you really REALLY want it, and it’s not just because it’s there. If you save it for when you really want it, and then go ahead and have it, you’ll be ahead in the long run!

Exactly – also, if you are going to eat something calorie dense, I recommend that you eat the best possible expression of that food. If you are going to eat a doughnut, make sure it’s the best damn doughnut you can get your hands on. For me, at least, anything branded ‘low-fat’ or ‘low-calorie’ (cookies for example) isn’t worth my time. I’d rather have one of something really great than ten of an inferior version.
