Write a thank you note to a teacher

My college professors are usually.. less than enthusiastic.. every semester at the school I go to. For the most part, they’re awful and less than helpful. In the four years I’ve been there, there are about three professors who have just been awesome and actually made class enjoyable.

Before I graduate, I want to write them a letter and let them know how great and inspiring they are.

My mom was a teacher. A former student came up to her 40 years later to tell her how she had changed his life by the way she worked with him when he was a kid struggling with school. That thank you was pretty profound. Your profs sound exceptional. They must really love teaching to make their classes fun. Too bad there aren’t more out there.

Wow. I bet that made your mom feel awesome. I wish there were more great teachers like your mom! She must have loved teaching. It really is too bad that there aren’t more teachers like that.

it's good

It has been many years since i left school. however my younger siblings are at the same school so i know what teachers are still there.

there are a handful of them who had a huge impact on my life, and things they’ve have said have only made sense as i’ve grown up.

i sent my art teacher a card when i visited the national gallery for the first time.
I sent my Italian teacher a post card when i visited Italy for the first time ( in italian ofcourse), the teachers were really pleased

Taking the time to acknowledge somebody’s positive influence on you is a really kind thing to do, especially in writing. They can read it over and over again, even years later.
