My long nineteenth-century reading list is 4 pages long! That’s a lot of reading (and I’ve still got to add a couple of more things)! I’m meeting with Dr. S, the committee member in charge of this list, on Thursday afternoon. I hope she’ll let me take a bit off.

Yuck

Dr. S and I talked for an hour this afternoon, and she added two novels, several non-fiction essays, a couple of poems, and a mess of secondary sources—and she’s keen to add more secondary sources. She thinks that part of my list is a bit light. Sigh… However, I think we’re really close to finalizing my list, and I’m going to be really really glad about that.
