before my apartment flooded, i gave around 60 percent of my clothes to charity. after my apartment flooded, i was able to get rid of much more stuff easily because lots of it was ruined.

the experience allowed me to relinquish a great amount of attachment to things i had hithertofor been unable to release.

now, settled in to my new apartment. i moved from a 1200 sq.ft. apartment to a 600 sq.ft. apartment, so the claustrophobic feeling is a definite motivator for ridding my life of needless clutter. so far i have made amazing progress!

next step: continue to thin out closet, give away unused suits to women’s shelter, sell books, maybe even have a yard sale
