I had my first session with a personal trainer today. It was fabulous!! I have only used the gym on my own before, but having a trainer just does so much more to keep the motivation up. At the end of the hour, he pushed me harder than I would have done by myself—it’s just too easy to slack off when I workout alone. Now I am acutely aware that I DO have ab muscles, even if I can’t see them just yet.

That is great! Good for you. I had a trainer put together a routine for me a few years ago and it makes a huge difference. I had to laugh about your comment that you have ab muscles. I remember once telling my husband that I finally had calf muscles. He said the same thing, that I’d always had them but couldn’t see them. Actually, that was my ex-husband who said that!
