change everything is getting her shizz together

clean the garage (read all 14 entries…)
the fire pit: 21 months ago

We got my dad to notch out a piece of 2X4, so we were able to get this off the floor and onto a premade shelf. Opens up a lot of space. I also finally got the bird feeder out now that the ground is thawed out enough to put our post in the ground. The weather is finally getting a little nicer too, so I’m hoping we can work out there more in the next few weeks.

The ultimate goal is to walk in and see it completely organized, everything just in labeled boxes for the stuff that we keep in there (Christmas, camping, off season clothes, etc.) and not be storing random stuff in there at all.

Jeeze...I have shelves .....

and just can’t get stuff out of other boxes to move the left over boxes onto the shelves…I have so many clothes to get rid of…too…

That is the bulk of stuff…so I am taking it to the resale shops next week…for sure…

then will have more empty bins to work with on the stacking process…

Have to move this stuff…I might have more coming in temporarily this summer for storage from work…just over the summer….

yuck…it never stops….

That is good to get it off the floor.I stack my bins ontop of pallets cut in half…just to keep them up..

have to think of a way to hang my bikes that would help too…

I would give anything to open that garage door and have it look organized!!!

bike storage options

There are LOTS! You can get a special V-frame shelf that can be mounted higher on a wall and hold the bike up off the floor by the frame. There are also pulley systems that are not too expensive that can life the bike up in the air and suspend there while not in use. Another option is what I call “train” storage. It is a little tall skinny groove that you can bolt to the wall…you stand the bike up on the back tire and there is a hook by the groove that holds the wheels in place. Make sure garage clutter doesn’t keep you from getting your bike out! here’s a link with pictures of what i just typed out:
