My mom got the runaround when she tried to get child support. But she ended up getting my dad’s taxes every year and she still gets payments from what he owes. It helped pay for my trip to Washington, D.C., my prom dress, a class ring, etc. That money added a lot of experiences to my life, that wouldn’t have been there otherwise. So yes it’s a pain in the arse, but it can be so rewarding as well. Besides, fair is fair, right? :)
