live in germany

Living here now :-)  — 3 months ago

Nearly 2 years and for a while to come by the looks of it…

Comments:

As someone who has been scrutinizing every conceivable way of how to live in Germany, may I ask which “route” you took? Did you find permanent work there or something else? I’d love to know!

Edit: Actually, I take it you have EU citizenship, either Polish or British, is that right? If so, lucky you. :}

Work.....

Permanent work was our key and an employer who will organise the work permit for you (or in this case my husband). He has an Australian passport and it makes it a little bit harder than being in the EU.

Ah, I see. Is your husband in some kind of highly specialized field, i.e. science, finance, etc? Don’t mean to pry, I’m just in the same boat and would like an idea for what kind of skills can land a non-EU citizen work over there. Thanks again, Renia!

No problem :)

Finance….and its an Australian listed company so maybe that made it easier…

Oh, finance indeed. Hehe. Thank you for the info. I wish you both much happiness and success there.
