Texas Lin wants to go home for the holidays

Issues with my family 7 months ago

seems to be popping up again. Dear old mom has prettty much told me I won’t be welcome in her home when my house sitting jobs are done. Not really certain why… but we haven’t lived together since the summer I graduated from high school. We couldn’t wait to part company then…seems nothing has much changed there.

I went off and built my life in Texas. This sabbatical living closer and sharing time has been nice as long as everyone could keep their distance but why press the issues?

Some things never change and life is too short to let them get you down.

Wayne is feeling a little better.

Good attitude...

It’s good that you don’t let things like this get you down, Texas Lin. While I loved my mother dearly, we never got along and often quarreled, unfortunately. We were like fire and water. ;) You can’t “force” someone to behave rationally with you.

Thank you for understanding

I haven’t always been this way. When I was younger I had very emotional reactions towards her that usually backfired and got the complete opposite reaction than the one I wanted which was “unconditional” love.

I was able to raise my children the way I want to live with unconditional love so that cycle was broken in “my family”.

Now I just accept people for who they are…we are not all alike.

How boring would that be? ;)

Pajodama is feeling better and taking a 4-days break :-D

Life is too short to allow drama to put you down. My motto for this is If life is a drama, please give me a comedy I second Wayne ;)

Texas Lin has gotten 2 cheers on this entry.
