every time i am stressed or have something to do which i dont really feel like doing, something comes over me. i just start eating and cannot stop till i feel disgustingly sick and uncomfortable.
i used to make myself sick but do not do this any more but i still binge every 2 or 3 days.
my mother tells me that when i feel like i am going to do it i should just get out of the way of food but i cant because its often when i have alot of work to do.
anyone got any suggestions?

make an 'off-set" list
The other day I typed up a list for myself of things that I enjoy doing (that DON’T involve eating). I chose things like reading a book, calling a friend, taking a bath, and painting my nails. I figure that the next time I feel a need to binge I can turn to that list for something that can help me offset it. I haven’t used it yet though, maybe it can help you!
