there’s really no basis for the eight glasses of water standard, everyone’s body has its own needs. a good guideline is to drink until your piss is clear. remember that you can drink too much water.

8 glasses is sort of outmoded though. One of the Bally’s Fitness Tips is that the general guideline is 32 oz. per 50 lbs. bodyweight, more in the summer and more if you’re active.

Sure, nothing huge happens if you get less (unless it’s none) but if you pay attention, you start to notice the small things that it affects.
