Hmmn… they’ve come a long way. I love mine (copper based rather than hormonal). Other than rare cases, I don’t think they’ve caused health problems since the mid 70’s.
Funny… I just checked my old IUD goal & I bought mine 2 years ago today. It’s my IUD-iversary!

when she had her IUD removed about 4 years ago. Several hours later, she got terribly ill, developed sepsis, and had to be hospitalized for nearly a week.
I hope that doesn’t happen to anyone else!
