Burning Man is a lot of things. Don’t go into it with any expectations though. My first year, I was soooo excited to go, and then when I got there, I felt kinda let down. I was already a part of our local Arizona community though, so to me going to the playa was just like being at home…lol!

The most important thing is to participate. Try creating some art, even if you’re not an artist (especially if you’re not!). Or, how about volunteering as a barista or a cashier at Center Camp? I did that my first year and it was a lot of fun. Burning Man is only what you make it…be the cool thing that people see and are talking about for years to come. :)
