Baking is probably more of a metaphor to me. Mainly, the transformative magic of many elements becoming something greater than the sum of their parts. You measure, you mix, you add heat, and and you wait. Seems like a lovely meditation to me. Knowing how to making a fresh, tasty loaf of bread is a nice perk too.
