TajLV is bracing for some hard times ahead

see a Democrat elected in 2008 (read all 19 entries…)
Enough already 7 months ago

When the Clark County Democratic Convention reconvened on April 12, I was upgraded from alternate to delegate. I’m not particularly happy with the tone and manner of the Obama and Clinton campaigns as they’ve headed into the home stretch. I’ll still work to get either one of the Democratic candidates elected in the fall, but when it came time to cast my vote, I chose the third option: undecided. Let’s quickly sort out who our candidate is so we can stop slinging mud at ourselves and take on the real threat: John McCain and the GOP.

Comments:

Okaaayyyy......

I’m totally with you on wishing that the candidates would remember that sage advice that even 1st graders have heard (hopefully):

When you put others down you only demonstrate a weakness in yourself.

Yes, attacks must be responded to; but, please demonstrate your leadership and take the high road.

Respond, nullify the dig and then draw ppl’s attention back to the issues that the country faces- and frankly, at this juncture, they’ve become dire emergencies.

When you call political attacks out for what they are (desperate demonstrations of insecurity) and remind ppl about what we’re really hoping to solve in the coming years, you demonstrate the true leadership that our country so desperately craves.

HOWEVER-ALL THAT SAID-

“Let’s quickly sort out who our candidate is…”.......

How does NOT voicing your opinion help that process along????

TajLV is bracing for some hard times ahead

My #1 choice dropped out

So I did voice my opinion, SweetPea7. I refused to choose. It’s called a protest vote, over being forced to take a side between two excellent candidates who should settle this between themselves rather than dragging us through their mud-slinging. Where’s diplomacy? The public is split. So talk to each other already and end the standoff. Enough.

Adar is struggling with Jacob.

I wish I had another cheer, Taj!

I am so sick of this nonsense. It would be different if there was a discussion about the issues, but there is no such discussion going on—it’s just sniping through proxies and sideswipes and not even a decent debate.

I am sick of this, particularly given the stupid level of the reporting on it (and yeah, I think it has been stupid, reporting on a national election like its a sporting event, rather than a debate over the direction the country should go in.)

Ooooo I’m cranky!

And yes, two grownups should sit down and sort it out, or flip a coin, or something. Grr.

Petersky has too many hot flashes

No question in my mind

If you are sick of the politics of “gotcha” and negative campaigning, there’s no question in my mind who you should support.

TajLV has gotten 7 cheers on this entry.
