last night i stood up to a guy who has been trying to get a few things out of me. i told him, “i don’t think i want to. sorry.” and he got mad and started saying some rude things. i got upset and ended up saying, “maybe another time.”
i think the reason i’m a pushover is because i can’t stand letting people down or making them upset, i just like to make other people happy, which usually ends up harming me in the end.
dljasldflsadj i’m so frustrated with myself.
Comments:
just remember...
that you deserve to be happy too…wish you the best!! ciao
Honestly, thank you so much for saying that. You’re completely right, and I never realized it until now.
no problem...
actually…those were the exact words of my best friend…lol…i was in the same boat and i couldn’t help it…i’m a people pleaser by nature…i love seeing and knowing that i can make people happy…but she made me realize that when all our focus is on others we tend to forget about ourselves and forget that we count as well…glad i was of help =)
people WILL like you...
even if you don’t let them take advantage of you. Figure out if you are trying to compensate for something, and address THAT thing. (Lose weight if you think you’re fat, etc.) Much easier said than done… but start small and don’t compare yourself to anyone other than you. 13etty is right! YOU deserve to be happy.
If doing for others makes you happy, then keep on! Just remember to look out for yourself FIRST, like you would your dearest friend. Good luck, sweetness.
