Alopecia can definitely hit anyone at any age. I became AU when I turned 40 but had experienced only one minor outbreak until that time. And you’ve had it virtually all your life! Wow, I can’t imagine what it was like having AU as a child and a teen. I hope you weren’t subjected to a lot of teasing and the cruelty that some kids can unleash on anyone who is just a little different. I hope you were strong and that AU has made you even stronger! But mostly I hope you are happy and see all the great things that life has to offer us whether we have hair or not!
