Well, I have met new people, through my ensemble, through my spiritual home, and starting to through the outdoor club. One gal seems like a kindred spirit and we have more plans for week after this. Baby steps. It was hard to go out alone on my birthday, but the show was a friend and I was right that folks I knew would be there. They even sang happy birthday to me in English and Portuguese : ) The two nights before that I went out with the aforementioned new friend, and to a pot luck for the outdoor group. It’s hard to put myself out there, and I still feel sad going home from a group (to an empty house), but I’ll keep doing it till it’s natural.
