Get a Master's in English Literature (read all 6 entries…)
Halfway through my Year Off

I graduated from the University of Georgia last May with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature; I hope to be enrolled next Fall in a Master’s program in the same field.

Currently I’m attracted to schools in Finland and Sweden (I’m living in Finland right now”) because they’re free, and because I’d like to stay in Europe if possible. I don’t know how competitive I am in the international academic pool, though.

I start the application process in November.

Good luck with your applications! I graduated from the English department at UGA too. Did you ever have Dr. Desmet? She was by far my fave prof. :)

Thanks! I never took Desmet, but I have heard good things. My favorites were Gatrell and McAlexander. Did you take them at all? What year did you graduate?

I have lots of friends who had McAlexander. I don’t remember Gatrell though. I left Athens in 1997…I think I’m a good bit older than you. :)
