I am feeling overwhelmed. I need a solution.
from reading through your entries on this subject, you sound a lot more relaxed and happy when you have been for a run or workout in the gym. you also said you get more done and your mindframe is better after working out in the mornings. keep this one thing in mind – all i HAVE to do today is work out, and forgive yourself if you get nothing else done. btw i think u are doing great!

You have just made me feel so much better! Really. thanks :)

I was out for a 20km run last weekend & as I was nearing the end, feeling weary, I started jogging to the rhythm of … key … lime … pies … I just said each word with every step & it kept me going.
Whenever I feel out of balance, I go for a run & it seems to cleanse me.
Thanks for your encouragement with my running & setting goals & routines.
Whatever you’re looking for, I hope you find it…

what a show off! :) . YOU are an inspiration! And you are right, running is a great cleanser. Tomorrow morning first thing…..going out for a run! Do you think 5 and a half weeks is enough time to train for a half marathon? I have basically taken the last month off, doing practically nothing.

If I can drag my butt out when its raining & blowing & miserable, I’m sure you can get out in your spring.
Seriously, you should try running to … key … lime … pies … (breath) ...
It’s a got a good rhythm if you step to each syllable.
Do you think I could do a marathon on 22 June?

Yes! Are you going to try? That would be fantastic. I am going to figure out my schedule and see if my run in June is possible. Keep me posted!

I’ve got no idea about nutrition for something like this so I’m doing some research on food & training so I can start preparing properly.
Doing the half last year & the bungy this year makes me think I can do anything – which is a great feeling!
Do you feel out of your rut? If you get a chance, read this blog I came across: http://basest.blogspot.com/2007/02/groove-vs-rut.html
<))){ fishboy has 95 more days of running to go - yikes!
and listen to my iShuffle
when I feel overwhelmed.
I make sure I run slow.
I make sure I listen to
Bob Marley or Arvo Pärt
or down tempo or jazz.
I make sure I talk to
people about feeling
overwhelmed.
I make sure I pat myself
on the back and I usually
have a glass of red wine.

comments like this make me feel way better! I try to listen to music as much as possible. It really helps elevate my mood. Music and running….. and of course red wine. thank you!
Dagmarr says don't hate people...just inanimate things, like brocolli
Music is always a key element in my day…I listen to all types but everyday I have it in my life…for a pick-me-up, feel good, reminders or just anything, having wine is also nice and soothing..I have friends who own wineries and I have had the pleasure of drinking some fabulous wines…I walk my little dog too…
getting out and smelling the air and looking at the scenery clears my mind…

I actually own a small…..... very small winery as well, and a dog! Not a small dog but a big huge dog. Sort of funny, I have the “perfect scenario” but still feel overwhelmed and in a huge rut. I guess I just need inner peace. hmmm

Ruts are no good; I hate them. Just exiting one myself.
Usually, writing things down helps me.
Are you training for the marathon? Hope so. Hope you’re enjoying it as well.
Also, it’s weird that lots of people don’t like running downhill. Running downhill is my favorite. It’s the only time I feel like I’m really moving and that’s fun.
