Forget to take my shoes to work

Not worth it!

Silly, silly.  — 2 months ago

I wear my sneakers (running shoes, or whatever you want to call them) to work and home again, changing my shoes when I get there. This morning as I was about to walk through the department door, I was suddenly hit by the realisation that I’d forgotten to bring my work shoes with me. They were still sitting at home, in my bedroom… because I’d forgotten to unpack them from the weekend. But, no big deal, really.

Today was an odd day overall. Strange phone calls, cranky bus drivers. To top it off, I discovered that strawberries-and-cream rock candy does not mix with vanilla Roobois tea. Heh.

I feel for you.

I once accidentally went to school in my slippers.

Oops!

Oh, and you just reminded me… I went to work in my slippers once, too. I got out of the car and thought, “gee, my feet feel really comfy toda… oh, sh*t.”

calypte is trying harder!

hazard!

I think I’ve only managed that once – of course, it would be the one day in ages I was wearing a skirt!! Argh!!

These days, my heels live in my desk drawer ;)

Argh, indeed!

Hard to hide under a skirt. :-)

Ah, one day I, too, shall keep shoes in a desk drawer. When I’m no longer living out of a suitcase, that is.

Truth be told, if it wasn’t for the fact that I’m usually running for the bus in the morning, I probably wouldn’t have a need to employ two sets of shoes. It’s one way to get some exercise, I suppose.

this reminds me of the time

i went to work barefoot (directly from the beach) in the car which did NOT have my spare shoes in. spent all morning standing behind furniture whenever my boss walked past (she was a bit like a deranged version of Meryl Streep in the Devil Wears Prada), till finally the chef (who lived onsite) lent me a pair of dodgy sandals left under his bed by some one-night-stand chick.

i kept them for years…

Emily is ready to chill - think blueberries in the snow.

haha!

That’s a great story… especially about the leftover sandals…

Does that mean...

your boss was beachy? Or not?

LL has gotten 3 cheers on this entry.
