is Teach Yourself Sanskrit by Michael Coulson.

The script is Devanagari or Nāgarī.

nice to know that you are interested in sanskrit. I too had it as a subject and found it really interesting.

If you are finished wid d book, you can try reading Panini’s grammar, it makes sanskrit much easier to understand and they are the basic rules for sanskrit.
