In 2009 I quit my job and moved 2700 miles away from home to be with my love. I’m still here and am definitely growing to appreciate the area a lot more than I originally did. In the beginning I was very skeptical of how much happiness I could have here. It took me over a year to realize that happiness is not necessarily a physical place, but a mental place. I still struggle with it from time to time, but I’m surely moving towards a more simple life of being gracious of what blessings I do have, and to just keep on trucking towards the simple goals I have for myself.
