My place is all messy because I am alone in my apartment. It’s a lot harder to for me to feel motivated when it’s only me. Mostly it’s just a useful clutter, you know, all the things I use every day, my clothes for example. But I want to not be embarrassed when I have visitors anymore, so I must get to cleaning.
interesting, I was JUST thinking about this today. I’m with you, it’s hard to clean when it’s just me—what do I care? It’s all my crap anyway, right? nobody ever comes over to my place anyway so why bother.
I recently began to challenge that with the thought—damn it, I’ll clean up FOR ME and hang PICTURES and make it a NICE PLACE. It almost feels like I’m cultivating a split personality:)
