lose weight (read all 47 entries…)
i dont know what to do anymore 19 months ago

im basically back to my starting weight 2 months on, 153 pounds.
Ive got another 2 and half months left and i want to lose at least 20 pounds.
I just cant stick to three meals a day i always feel like eating some toast or yougarts or something throughout the day as well.
Should i carry on just trying to diet or just starve myself?
I just want to lose weight quickly for my holiday and im not really bothered if ill put it back on again after my holiday so has anyone got some good tips how to lose the weight fast?
Continue dieting or eat basically nothing??

increase your exercise. That’ll burn the pounds off and you’ll be in good shape for whatever you’re plannign to do on holiday. starving yourself tells your body to go into conservation mode, and I think it actually is counterproductive as well as (duh) being rather unhealthy. anyway, eat wisely and monitor your calories, and increase your exercise. there’s a site that helped me track my caloric intake so I could better get a handle on what I was really eating versus what I ought to: try that. it’s at http://my-calorie-counter.everydayhealth.com/Journal.asp
and it’s free. Also there’s Active Trainer.com as well which will help you track how often and how long you actually do your workouts.

i find that if i eat really good/flavourful food then i dont eat as much, and im satisfied all the time. idk maybe that might help you :)
and stopping snacking is soo hard.. if you think thats whats stopping you from losing weight, you could just eat less at meals. or, you could give up snacking.. its hard work, but it gets easier as you go on :)

If you find it hard to stick to 3 meals and want to snack then have 5 smaller meals instead, this will keep your hunger more at bay n you wont want to eat loads of rubbishy snack food. Dont starve your self completely cos you will lose a few pounds then wont lose anymore becos your body will put itself in starvation mode.
Just eat a few less calories and it will start coming off more quickly. Think about wat you put into your body. Think will this be nutritional for my body or am i just eatting it for the sake of it?
Maybe step up your exercise too. Changing the lil things makes a huge difference. Like dont eat butter or dont put sugar in your tea/coffee. There small and simple but will make a huge difference.
Try and walk EVERYWHERE. If you can walk, go for it. If you can ride your bike, go for it too.
The little things make a huge difference. :) Remember dat!
