fly

Hi  — 3 months ago

Alright right now I am really trying to make an invention that will let fly. Does anyone know how much thrust is needed to push someone of the ground, Hover and fly?

Comments:

Hover

Well, you need a thrust of at least 9.8 m/s² to hover, plus a bit extra to get you off the ground in the first place; slightly less at the equator.

Jet packs work, but only for thirty seconds. So, unless you’re developing some kind of specialized telekinesis or have a breakthrough in the production of energy on massive scales in small spaces (think Iron Man), I think you might be out of luck for the foreseeable future. :(

If you work something out, I’ll be first in line to buy one… unless someone comes up with a method of teleportation first, but even then I’ll still want to fly. :)
