As I am reading your entry “Carnival sucks” I noticed to the right side where the 43T advertisements are, they are all for Carnival! Thanks for the advice. Never been of a cruise but would like to, I’ll remember your words of wisdom. :)

Thanks for the warning! Did you write to the Carnival Cruise people and tell them of your unhappiness? I’m the queen of writing emails (both positive and negative) – I feel like it doesn’t do much good to rant/rave if you don’t also go to the source and tell them.

a Carnival cruise and I didn’t really know what to expect so at the time I didn’t know it was so bad. The one and only club they had was closed so they had all of their dancing in a make-shift room that looked like a conference room, the cabin was teeny tiny (which I know they are all small, but I have since been on Royal Carribean and they are not as tiny), they had a very small pool, no climbing wall, not even deck games, and the show was awful, all of the performers were way to old to have that kind of lifestyle. The only thing I thought was good was the food. I’m sorry you had a bad experience with them too. I figured it was just that particular ship that was bad. By the way, what ship were you on? I was on the Holiday.

My family is thinking of going on a cruise this year. I have a friend who has been on two carnival cruises, and has enjoyed them…but she also wishes to try Royal Carribean. She said in the port that the Royal Carribean ship was so much bigger and looked so much more extravagent. This probably also means that it has more to do. Does Carnival tell you where to sit and when to do stuff as well? Just wondering. Also curious to which ship you went on. :)

the only cruise i ever took was on Celebrity, and i had a great time, and loved the staff. of course, you have to talk to your travel agent. some lines cater to families with kids, some to more mature adults, etc. but for the staff to make fun of the americans was just plain unprofessional!
also keep in mind, you get what you pay for so the Queen Mary 2 is gonna be much nicer than Carnival. what do you expect with a name like Carnival anyway?

I have heard that Carnival is terrible! I am definitely taking this into account when I work on my “go on a cruise goal”. Thanks for the warning!!
