This has come about now because my bosses essentially made me choose between my husband and my job. Well, guess who I chose!

I submitted my resignation and leaving date as we agreed. Then when they saw the letter they panicked and realised they had no chance of finding a replacement on that timescale. So then they said they were prepared to let me work from home for one more month.

Despite the fact that I hate their games, I don’t have anything else lined up right now, so I took their offer. But it will feel so good once I am free of them.

While this exit may not be the one I had envisioned, everything happens for a reason and this is a chance for a fresh start and the chance to find a more rewarding job.
