Hi! I really like sparkpeople.com. They have great advice, it’s all free, and you enter your info. and it tells you how much to eat and exercise, etc. Plus, there are other members who are very supportive and motivating. Good luck- you can do it!!! :) -Leah

wait a minute....

35 pounds before July? That is 6 weeks. At a healthy 1 -2 pounds of weigh loss a week, that isn’t realistic without being under a doctor’s supervision. See your doctor asap. Otherwise, you could seriously jeopardize your health.

Without a doctor’s supervision, you need probably 12 – 18 weeks to lose 35 pounds safely.

well, this isn’t advise, but i wanted to say congrats on enlisting in the navy – good for you!!!

Congrats on the Navy!

I think a 1200 calorie diet and lots of exercise would cut a lot of weight off. Also, talk to your recruiter- can you push your ship date out a month or so? That might give you more time. If you really need to make weight, they have those Hollywood diet drinks (essentially you are on a liquid diet) that will help you l0+ lbs a weekend, but it will come right back, so I’d only do it right before your last weigh in.
