It’s pretty bad for you. Carbs are your bodies main energy source, and by cutting them back so drastically you pose health risks.
Some people have had to be rushed to hospital because they became so ill from it.

i did the atkins diet for a while. the weight came off really quickly and at first, i felt wonderful, almost euphoric. apparently most of the weight was water weight because i eventually stopped losing even though i was still far from my goal weight. and as soon as i incorporated carbs back into my diet, the weight came back. the main reason i warn against the atkins diet is that it’s really bad for you kidneys. and you don’t want to screw around with your kidneys. if i were you i would try to find a diet that included all food groups but is low fat and just try to aim for a certain limit of calories a day. don’t make the limit too low or you’ll set yourself up for binges. a really really basic way to figure out how many calories to eat per day to lose weight is to take your current weight and multiply it by 11. but don’t go below 1200 calories. for example, if you weigh 130, multiply 130 by 11 which equals 1430 calories. if your a teenager or if your really active, that number may still be too low for you. try to include foods in your diet that you actually enjoy – otherwise, there is no way you will stick with it in the long run. try to stay away from fad diets. diets are temporary and cause temporary weight loss. good luck!!!

thank you very much
i think my problem is lack of will-power
and exercise!
i don’t need to be at risk for kidney problems
as they run in the family anyway!
thank you very much for your helpful advice and help.
