I’ve heard that phrase so many times growing up, however when the speaker was approached by an individual not living as mainstream society would, they were looked down upon and frowned at. That saddens me beyond words. There is only one race & that is the human race. Whether it be religion, politics, race, sexual preferences, or general appearance – it really should not matter. You are free to be you, I am free to be me, just as anyone else is free to be himself/herself.
