I had wanted to learn Spanish since I was really little, living in a rural town in Ohio when an exchange student from Ecuador came to our class and taught us how to say some very basic phrases. I was even one of the best students in my Spanish class in high school. I didn’t have the money to go to college, so I joined the Army as a military linguist. They didn’t give me a choice of what language to learn, and they gave me Korean instead of Spanish. I was really disappointed about it for a long time, but I have now warmed up to Korean and now studying Korean and getting better at it is a big focus for me. Therefore, I cannot continue to study Spanish. I will always treasure all the knowledge I gained while studying it, for I would not be where I am today without learning Spanish. I’m a big believer in fate and destiny, so I guess it was just supposed to happen this way. What will be will be. Que será será. Be fluent in Korean
